Dura-Kut Gantry Plasma Cutting

The AKS dura-kut gantry precision cutting machine are designed for large CNC plasma cutting and oxy-fuel applications. Rail widths and lengths are designed to fit your large-scale cutting needs.
The dura-kut features all welded unitized design and reinforced components with all contact surfaces machined to ensure accurate match-up with mating surfaces. AKS dura-kut’s unique gantry design incorporates a robust, welded and stiffened double beam with low center of mass and high rigidity. Standard features include an air circulating cooling system to cool the beam and heat shields to protect against heat build-up.

- Systems can be equipped with a combination of conventional and precision plasma, oxy-fuel and marking systems in various configurations for up to six stations

- Longitudinal axis dual side AC brushless drives with ultra low backlash planetary gearboxes with precision hardened and ground rack and pinion drives
- Transverse axis DualVee® motion linear guide system provides unmatched precision and reliability and is more impervious to harsh environments
- Synchronous stainless steel belt on transverse axis to maximize durability, long life and accuracy, particularly in high temperature and harsh environments
- High tech PC based touch screen CNC control and AC brushless drives provide high acceleration and superior motion response and best performance

Heavy Duty Stud Capabilities
Penn Engineering’s has the capabilities to manufacture heavy duty studs in larger thread sizes. With the equipment available in our various plants we can manufacture studs up to ½” and M14 in thread size. We can also offer various clinch configurations (including six-lobe Strux® type), thread strengths and MAThread® anti cross-threading feature.
In order to outline these capabilities we have created two capabilities brochures. One (Bulletin HDS), highlights our general capabilities to make a variety of these large threaded studs. The other (Bulletin LCS), focuses specifically on the six-lobe variety, dimensionally equivalent to the Strux style studs.

PEMSERTER® Series 4® Press – New storage cabinet
The Series 4 press is now offered standard with a full storage cabinet/stand. Details can be found in Bulletin PS4L.
PF50/PF60 Panel Fastener Update
1) We have added the PF51, PF52, PF61 & PF62 sizes. The longer shanks on these parts provide greater pushout performance in thicker panels when desired.
2) We have added 4 dimples on the head to designate Metric threads as in most of our other panel fasteners.
These improvements are in response to customer requests. Customers have often asked for a choice in shank lengths like they can get with the PF30, PF31 and PF32 panel fasteners. Now they may choose the PF51/PF61 for panels of .040” / 1 mm minimum and the PF52/PF62 for panels of .060” / 1.5 mm minimum.
